What is required for you to undergo an Electrician Apprenticeship
Whenever you would undergo electrician apprenticeship you should bear in mind that your rate as an electrician would be dependent on what you know. This is basically why they undergo 2000 hours of on the job training and 144 hours of classroom training. When you are done with this you should also try your best to expose yourself with the things that would help you gain more knowledge on your chosen field. Once you start working for big companies your rate would be dependent on the amount of knowledge that you have.
You can also try and get training from apprenticeship programs like the ones offered by UAW. Once you do this you would be able to learn a lot of things that you may have forgotten like basic logic problems, algebra and the like. Try to ask them what is more in demand so that you can determine what you would specialize on. This is important because when you start electrician training you would have a better chance of landing a job because you know what is in demand. This applies in other fields as well that is why you always need to be a step more advanced than others.
In today’s competitive world people should be wiser in determining how they can earn more in their chosen career. Having a college degree is not a guarantee that you would land a job. The recession has made more people apply for jobs even if they think they are overqualified. This is the reason why a lot of people go into apprenticeship training because all companies need an electrician to take care of their electrical needs. People need to be wiser and more competitive that is why we should try and join the bandwagon by making sure that we become competitive as well.
