The portable gas grill means summer is here! While some people use their grills year round, more common is seasonal use of the appliance. As a cooking appliance, it needs regular maintenance to perform at its best.
Remember that your cooking grids are in contact with food. As such keep them clean to prevent contamination of food as well as increasing the life of your grill. Keep this protected from the weather and maintain regularly during the season. Minimize oxidation by applying a light coat of vegetable oil and keep it dry when not in use. You wouldn’t eat off a dirty plate – don’t cook your food on dirty grills! Food contamination is an important issue and is within your control.
Pay attention to splatters, drippings and other “leftovers” on the hoses and outside of the grill. Wipe down regularly with cleaner to insure there is no contamination here. Greasy hoses encourage squirrels and other animals to lick and chew on the “food” smelling surface. This damages the hoses and creates unnecessary wear and tear on your grill.
Don’t be tempted to use oven cleaner as a short cut; the chemicals can damage the paint and other surfaces. Regular cleaning of the grill can’t be said enough. It is the #1 maintenance thing you can do for your portable gas grill to maintain a long, productive life.
Pay attention to the color of flame on your grill. A yellow flame with low temperature can be indication of a faulty regulator. This means not enough gas is getting through.
Also pay attention to the igniters and burners. Having these in good working condition makes a big difference. A clogged spot or rust can shorten the life of your portable gas grill. Keep it maintained and under cover when not in use!

Are you tired of having to mow your lawn every week or every couple of days just so you can have a beautiful looking lawn? You may even be okay with doing this but how long will your perfect lawn last? What happens when the cold season comes and there is no sun to nurture your grass, then what? Having a nice looking lawn can be quite a hassle to not only create but to maintain. This is why many people will get one of those fake grass lawns. These types of grass used to look so fake, you can tell it’s fake a mile away. But now days, they look very realistic. Sure it may be cheesy but at least you can avoid having to spend your Sunday afternoons cutting the grass.

If you have the space in your garden, you should consider building garden pond designs. Not only will it enhance your garden, it will be a great way to create a party place, a quiet dinner outdoors, or a family picnic.
There’s not much science to building a garden pond. For one, you can just buy a pre-formed garden pond, dig up a hole that would hold the pre-formed garden. Of course, you need to set up a strong, solid foundation before putting in the pre-formed garden pond. Once you have done this, you can start decorating your garden pool with fishes, turtles, water plants and flowers, as well as its surrounding areas.
Your garden will look beautiful and become one of the most visited areas in your home.

It’s hot and you’re ready to just float on your pool. You don’t want to have to move. You just want to be able to soak up the sun. Now is the time that you’ll be glad that you spent a little money and got a foam pool float to paddle about on in your above ground swimming pool.
Another great thing about a foam pool float is that they’re really light weight and easy to port around with you. So when you head to the beach or public pool, or even go on vacation and need a float in the hotel pool, it will be easy to take along your float to wherever you end up at that has water.
So get floating and work on your tan!

If you have been in the market for a trampoline, then you probably understand how hard it can be to find the perfect one. There are many more options than most people recognize before they go to find discount trampolines for sale. So, how can you find the right one for you? Well, consider the following before you make that purchase:
First, what shape is your yard? Try to find a trampoline that ‘matches’ your yard area/space. Nothing is worse than seeing a tiny back yard loosing almost half of it’s area because the owners purchased a round trampoline instead of opting for a square or rectangle tramp.
Second, consider who is going to use the trampoline. If you are looking for an all-around tramp for your kids to just play one, then a circular one will probably do just fine. However, if you are looking for something else, then you may wish to consider a different shaped tramp.

There are many different kinds of awning on the market at present, and these all have their own unique fitting attachments. Most manufacturers try to sell their products based on the fact that they are easy to use and live with. To achieve this, they need to fit properly and safely to your motorhome. Fiamma are one of the best in the business, and have patented their own quick release system. This involves one bracket that can be pulled up or down to attach and release.
Other motorhome awning brands are much more complicated and need a series of complex procedures to attach them. This can take a bit of getting used to when you arrive at camp, so it is a good idea to practise putting the awning up first. Get to know the working parts and it will make this process painless and much faster.

There is a new type of grass in town and it’s taking over the football stadiums near you. It’s artificial grass turf and it is making it possible to play your favorite sports in the most atrocious conditions and the quality of the game isn’t degraded.
Sure, you may not like artificial grass but it beats the heck out of watching the most talented footballers on earth slip and slide and fumble the ball for no reason. Who wants to pay top dollar to watch a bunch of guys play like your local Saturday afternoon football team just because the ground underfoot is treacherous?
Now we don’t have to and it’s all because the grounds are getting upgraded from grass to artificial turf. As a lover of good football I, for one, applaud the move.
