Lose Weight Quickly By Focusing On Resistance Training

There are many different people and companies out there who are trying to sell you on why their method to lose weight quickly is best, whether it is a silly workout machine or dangerous weight loss pills.  The problem is, most of these things simply don’t work.  They either try to target one section of your body (usually the abdominal area) or they only try to fix the symptoms of your weight gain, not the reason that you are overweight.  Eating a healthy and balanced diet is the first step in fast weight loss.  If you don’t have your nutrition in order, then you definitely won’t be able to lose weight as quick.  The key component of any quick weight loss system that works is resistance training.

Resistance training uses various methods in order to provide resistance for your muscles to help them break down and then grow back stronger.  You can use resistance bands in order to do some good upper body workouts.  You can use weight machines to get both upper and lower body workouts, or you can use free weights to help you to workout your upper body.  If you don’t want to have to buy anything, you can even use your own body weight in order to get resistance for your muscles, by doing exercises such as jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups, mountain climbers, or lunges.

As you build up muscle, it will allow your body to be able to burn fat faster.  When you are working out, your body will be able to burn fat faster after you’ve built up some lean muscle mass, but even when you aren’t working out you’ll be able to burn fat at a faster rate.  This is the key to weight loss and a healthier lifestyle.  Don’t just do cardio the whole time at the gym, instead use it as a warm up exercise to get your adrenaline going so that your body can start burning fat as soon as you start your resistance training for the rest of the time at the gym.
