Skin peelers can and have been used for both acne treatment and acne scar removal.  While they can be pretty effective let’s talk about how they work before you go right out and by an over the counter version or ask you doctor for some.  Skin peelers are strong chemicals, usually acids, that dissolve your skin.  If the peeler is left on the skin too long chemical burns can follow.  I certainly wouldn’t trade my acne for chemical burns.  You must follow the directions exactly.  Even then you may wish to just have your doctor administer the peeler on your skin, they have the detailed knowledge of how this peelers will work with you skin chemistry.  If this thought makes you uneasy there are plenty of other alternatives.
