Weaning a Baby

When it comes to feeding your baby, there are a few things to know that can help the process. Weaning from milk is generally advisable to begin at age one. Most babies can hold a sippy cup starting at this age, which is one of the indicators that baby may be ready to give up milk and enter the world of solid foods alone. Age one will be when baby will most likely want to use his fingers to pick up food to feed himself. Utensils can be introduced later. Reaching the milestone of baby feeding and solid foods is a beginning to growing up. It may be bittersweet for Mommy, but if she maintains certain ideals, they will be passed on to baby as well; this will be another good job done in the world of parenting.
