If you want to have a cheap vacation to Disneyland, your best bet is to look for a hotel near Disneyland that isn’t right on Disney property. Disney hotels are much too expensive, but the various chain hotels near the theme parks are all much more reasonable and many of the them are actually just as close to the park entrances as the ones that are on Disney property. Due to the way the place is laid out, two of the Disney hotels are nearly a mile walk! You can do much better than that and save money too!

With the nearby hotels, most of them have shuttle buses that will take you to the parks if they are not in walking distance. So that will also save you money in parking in the Disney parking structure. It will probably save you time as well, since it takes nearly a half hour to get from the parking structure to the park gate.
