A double chin is caused by fat deposits and it is located just around the neck. It sags and makes a person look as if there is a second chin. It is frequently seen in older people or people who are overweight. But it can also appear in people with normal weight, depending on the person’s bone structure.
There are a lot of benefits if you have a fit body. It does not only make you look good but it also helps you become strong and healthy. Anyone can have a healthy body by eating right and by exercising regularly. These things are also applied to people with double chin.
People who are overweight are usually placed on a diet. While people with an average weight but still has a double chin does not need to follow a strict diet, although both are required to do exercises.
It is important to stretch your neck before doing a double chin exercise. Stretching will help improve the exercise as well as reduce any type of neck injury. The following are gentle neck stretching. For starters, you can try to do these moves while lying on your backs. Otherwise, you can try it while seated.
Bend your head lightly just before your chest and stop if the stretch is felt in the neck. Count for twenty seconds and go back to your original position. Repeat five times.
Gently bend your head backward and stop if you feel the stretch in the front of your neck. Count for twenty seconds and go back to your original position. Repeat five times.
Gently move your head to the right and stop if you feel the stretch in the left side of your neck. Hold it for twenty seconds and return to your original position. Repeat five times. Do these again for your left side.

Does your fat double chin bother you? You know, there are ways in order for you to banish those excess fats accumulated on your chin without resolving to surgeries or other expensive procedures. So, how to lose chin fat? Well, do facial exercises! Here are some face trimming exercises that you can do right away to target your double chin. Read on!
Neck Massages – If you are not into facials or you do not have the budget for it, you can simply perform the massages yourself. To perform a do-it-yourself face firming massage, first, lubricate your fingertips with the use of a gentle moisturizer. Now, massage starting from the lower part of your neck and then upwards. Tilt your neck backwards while you do your massage; you will feel the muscles along your neck area tense up as you do so. This particular routine will promote proper blood flow along that given area.
Neck Cranes – You can perform this either standing up or in a seated position. You simply hoist your neck towards your right, keep that position for at least twenty counts and then return to starting position. Repeat the same process, but this, time hoist your neck towards your left. Remember to keep your shoulders steady while you tilt your head. You will feel the outside corners of your neck tighten and constrict while you move from side to side. Do this for about four to five times per side and about three to four times per day.
Neck Circles – Stand upright or sit with your back straight. Begin by looking downwards and then slowly move your head in a circular motion. You can start in any direction you please and then repeat in reverse. You need to do this chin exercise for at least five to six times for every direction and about three to four times per day.
