A double chin is caused by fat deposits and it is located just around the neck. It sags and makes a person look as if there is a second chin. It is frequently seen in older people or people who are overweight. But it can also appear in people with normal weight, depending on the person’s bone structure.
There are a lot of benefits if you have a fit body. It does not only make you look good but it also helps you become strong and healthy. Anyone can have a healthy body by eating right and by exercising regularly. These things are also applied to people with double chin.
People who are overweight are usually placed on a diet. While people with an average weight but still has a double chin does not need to follow a strict diet, although both are required to do exercises.
It is important to stretch your neck before doing a double chin exercise. Stretching will help improve the exercise as well as reduce any type of neck injury. The following are gentle neck stretching. For starters, you can try to do these moves while lying on your backs. Otherwise, you can try it while seated.
Bend your head lightly just before your chest and stop if the stretch is felt in the neck. Count for twenty seconds and go back to your original position. Repeat five times.
Gently bend your head backward and stop if you feel the stretch in the front of your neck. Count for twenty seconds and go back to your original position. Repeat five times.
Gently move your head to the right and stop if you feel the stretch in the left side of your neck. Hold it for twenty seconds and return to your original position. Repeat five times. Do these again for your left side.
