Easier Home Cleaning

If you were to say that you liked cleaning your house, most people would doubt your claims. Cleaning is an arduous chore and it is as unrewarding as it is messy. After all, who really takes the time to thank you for cleaning the house? At best you might get a member of your family to notice before asking you what’s for dinner. So you don’t do cleaning for the praise, but you do it because you have to. Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be as hard as you think. There are many new products on the market to help with cleaning, and a bit of organization will go a long way to making sure you’re done fast and efficiently. Here are some cleaning tips to help you along.

1. You never want to re-dirty any room or area that you’ve previously cleaned, so make sure to start from top to bottom, inside to outside. Make a map if you need to and plan a route so that you don’t end up wasting time cleaning twice.

2. Dusting should one of the fist things that you do. You might even want to wear a mask while you do it since most dusk is composed of shedded skin. Use a duster made of smooth material that adapts to any surface, and finish off the job with a thorough vacuuming.

3. Make an inventory of all your cleaning and home flooring supplies, and whittle them down to the ones you actually use. There’s nothing worse than having a clutter of supplies, and there’s a high chance you can get rid of most of them.

4. The power of steam is a great way to clean surfaces that is both clean and adaptive. A Shark steam cleaner comes with attachments to fit any surface so you can get to all spots in your house. The hot steam also acts as a disinfectant which is perfect for killing germs.

5. it’s a lot easier to clean if you take care of the hard stuff first. So that means tacking the bathroom and kitchen because they can be the grimiest. With these trouble areas out of the way, the rest of the job will seem like a breeze so start of every cleaning routine like this

What To Avoid with Round Rugs

Round rugs are a wonderful addition for many rooms but you do have to take care to add the right rug to the right place and to purchase the best rug you can to enhance your room. Here are the mistakes you could make when buying round rugs and how to avoid them.

1. Buying a Round Rug for the Wrong Room

Some rooms simply don’t look right with round rugs. For example, if you have a long hall a smart runner would look much better than using a round rug.

2. Buying a Rug in the Wrong Color

Even if you love the rug, if the colors don’t go with your room it is never going to do you any favors. Choose colors which match other items in the room or choose a complementary color as a accent rug. Most rugs, of course, have more than one color and then you need to make sure that each color (or at least most of the colors, if your rug contains many) are reflected in the room.

3. Buying a Poor Quality Rug

Cheap round rugs may be cheap because they are poor quality and an inferior rug is never going to make your room look better. Consider the materials the rug is made from as well as the thickness of the pile. Wool area rugs offer much better value even if you have to pay a little more for them because they will last longer, shrug off dirt and look better on your floor. If you buy a synthetic rug then check that it does not have an obvious synthetic look. Some of the better quality ones look fine.

4. Buying the Wrong Style Rug

The main rule to follow here is making sure that, if you have a modern style room, you decorate it with a modern style rug and if your room is traditional, you choose a traditional style rug.
