My Husband Loves His New Dish Network Package

About three months ago, I opened up my latest cable television bill and about fell over from the sticker shock. We had been Xfinity customers for about a year, and the promotional deal ended. What that meant for us was a price increase of about 50% as we were paying around $100 for our triple play package, and the new price was around $150 with tax. At that point I called my husband and after he recovered from his minor heart attack he asked me to start looking into the alternatives.

Dish Network and Direct TV were pretty much the choices we had to pick from in our neck of the woods. AT&T is the local phone company and they keep promising to add U-verse to our area, but nothing has happened and it has now been five years since that service was deployed so I’m not holding my breath. I began evaluating the Dish Network package and what it offered compared to what Direct TV had to offer in this area

My husband of course was sniffing around the Direct TV package along with Sunday ticket. I’m sure he would love to sit around every Sunday for 17 weeks and watch football all day long, but I had other ideas, such as him finishing our kitchen remodel sometime before the end of the year. In the end, I ordered Dish Network, as their package prices were the lowest out there and we really need to save our money. I did give in to his request for the Red Zone channel, which brings all of the best action to you on one channel, hopefully I won’t regret my decision come football season. All in all, he loves the Dish Network DVR and all of the channels they offer that we couldn’t get with our cable package.
